"Answer your phone, ___." Your best friend Goo Hara mutters in irritation. She rakes her fringe between her delicate little fingers. It's a habit of hers to do that whenever she feels irritated or annoyed. "What is she doing?!" Hara plops herself on her bed lazily . She rolls on her stomach & speed dials your number again. "the number you're calling, is not ava-" "Gaaaah!" Hara tosses her phone aside . You, on the other hand doesn't realize that you have 8 miss calls from your best friend as you're busy with your favourite puzzle .
You highlights the last word you've found & stretches your hand into the air. "yeaaaah, i'm done!" You squeals. "only ONESHOT~ only ONES-" "hello?" You answers your phone. "GLAD TO KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE!" Hara yells from the other side. You flinches at her loud voice. "Hey, waddup?" "waddup?! Hello? movie night, remember?" She reminds you. "ah, crap. I totally forgot!" You says, starting to pack up your things. "hurry . "I'll be there in a few minutes." You hangs up & literally shoves any clothes you could grab into your bag. "Ahh, I totally forgot."
Like an ogre, you stomps down the stairs, waking your big sister from her slumber. "Where are you going?" Dara asks. "Hara's!" You yells, "need a ride sis?" dara offers, as she lazily switches on the television. "no thanks," you declines, putting on your sneakers. Your older brother then, rushes down. "you WORDSEARCH book," he tosses it over to your from the stairs. "thanks!" you catches it easily. "Tell Hara that she owes me a few won," "sure will," you exits your house & clumsily runs off to Hara's. its already nighttime, "i'm late" .
You runs with all your might, jumping over any obstacle in front of you like a pro. "how can I forget about it?!" You yells at yourself . "You're super duper trooper late," are the first thing Hara says when you reaches her house. "i'm so sorry," you pants. "come in," You drops your bag on the floor & collapses on the couch. "Ugh, i'm so tired." You're still panting heavily. Hara then, sits by your side . "what were you doing?" She ask, eyes on the screen, pressing the 'play' button on the remote controller. "the usual," "again?" "yeah,"
She chuckles & bonks your head lightly. "you & your WORDSEARCH puzzle obsession." "I can't help it Hara." "you're staying over tonight?" "can I?" "ABSOLUTELY!" She squeals & you joins her. "what's playing?" "Wild child."I see Alex Pettyfer." You grins. "indeed." Hara smirks . Even before the movie ends, you falls asleep with Hara by your side. your eyes are just too tired from doing the WORDSEARCH puzzle . "Good morning, babe." You hears a guy's voice. "morning," you hears Hara's. "Uhh," you flicker yours eyes open. "rise & shine, ___."
You sits down lazily, still half asleep. You wipes your face & rub your eyes while yawning. "morning, ___." Junhyung pats your head . Yong Junhyung is a famous basketball player on your school. He's not only athletic but he got the looks too. Your best friend Hara's fiance . Yeah, fiance. Apparently, the two had been engaged since they were in middle school. It's a rich people thingy that you couldn't understand . Good thing is that, they've fallen head over heels for each other since they first met so that didn't make anything else complicated.
You squints your eyes at Junhyung, lips slightly puckering. "Uhh, morning." You gets up from the couch & drags yourself to the bathroom . "ah, wait, ___. There's Hyunseu-" Hara tries to stop you from opening the bathroom's door but it if already too late. There's a shirtless boy, who's washing his face at the sink. He stops & lifts his head, looking at you with a calm expression. awkward. "hyunseung is in there." Junhyung says casually. You closes the door back & shuffles to the kitchen, where Hara is. "they just arrived"
You climbs onto the stool & grabs yourself a sandwich on the plate. "who's hyunseung?" You asks, taking a bite at the sandwich. Hara blinks. "Junhyung's best friend. He doesn't talk much. but he's quite good looking." She explains, cutting more tomatoes. "i'm done," hyunseung walks into the kitchen & Hara tosses him an apple. He catches it & looks at you with his beautiful hazel brown eyes . "you can use the bathroom, i'm done." He says politely. "ah, right." quickly, you finishes your sandwich & gets bathed.
Once you're in your fresh clothes, you gets out & heads for the living room. Junhyung & Hara are nowhere to be in sight but Hyunseung . Hyunseung seems to be occupied with something. "uhm, where are the others?" He doesn't respond. "hello?" Still the same. "O. . . Kay. ." As you get closer, you realizes that he's actually doing your WORDSEARCH puzzle book. Usually you would freak out when someone touches it . But seeing the serious looking expression on Hyunseung's face, you decides to let it slip. You gets behind him & leans in a little,
Little did you know, he notices your presence but just let you be. "she smells. . .nice," he thinks, trying to concentrate on the puzzle . You leans in a little more, trying to get a better look. "ah, presentation." You traces your finger on the word in the puzzle. Hyunseung highlights it neatly like you do. "sit next to me." He says, patting the empty seat beside him, still scanning the words . You blinks a couple of times, "okay." You leaps over the sofa & settles beside him. he leans slightly to your side, shoulder to shoulder .
Your wet hair falls down perfectly off your shoulder. "aren't you going to catch a cold?" "I. . . This! Elaborate." You points at the word. Hyunseung sighs & closes the book. He grabs your towel & tosses it on your head. He shifts his position to face you. "You'll catch a cold." Before you could answer him, he's already drying your wet hair. "Sorry." You murmurs. "you like doing the puzzle?" He asks, eyeing the book. "yes." You answers him with a low voice. "I got myself a partner." He chuckles. "none of my friends like it." Hyunseung adds. "I like it,"
He stops drying your hair & lifts your chin up. "What?" You blushes when he leans in. "do I have something on my face." "yes." He says, "well, wipe it off for me will ya?" You blinks but Hyunseung just shakes his head. He takes the book again & start searching for a word. "I don't want too," he says casually, tracing his finger on a few words & finally highlights one. "I'll be embarrassed if you don't!" He lifts the book to your face & taps at a word. "I don't want too because it's this." His finger is on the word 'beauty'. You blushes hard .
"pfft, that's corny." You roll your eyes. "how come I never see you with Junhyung?" You asks, now taking the book into your hands. Hyunseung just shrugs at your words. "Maybe because i'm," he points at a word again, "invisible?" You raises a brow. "as if." You laughs . Next morning, in school, Hara decides to eat her lunch with Junhyung. That leaves you & your WORDSEARCH puzzle book alone. "alone again eh?" You sighs & heads out behind the school, under the cherry blossom tree, your favourite & usual spot to do your WORDSEARCH puzzle, alone.
A piece of bread in your hand & you starts to highlight all the words you could find. Except for one: Love. "Where are you, LOVE?" You gives up on it & moves on to another puzzle. Just like before, you could find all the words except for one: FATE. You frowns. "I must be losing my touch." You mutters. "why the long face?" Hyunseung's voice asks. You lifts your head & sees him approaching you. He has a few lunch box in his hand. most of them are pink in colour. "must be from the girls." You sighs. He sits down beside you.
"you sure have a lot of food there." You jerks your head at the lunch boxes. He just shrugs uncomfortably. "yeah, from the girls." He tsks . "you don't sound so happy," "well, not exactly. Too many, I can't eat them all. If I only eat one, what will the other think?" he says, You circle a word in ths book. "Bias." You says. "exactly." He smiles at you. then, his stomach grumbles. "and you're starving." You blinks . Hyunseung purses his lips & covers it with his fist. "yeah. . ." You laughs & takes out another bun. "here, it's nothing fancy. Just a bun" .
He stares at it. "Just take it as a reward for helping me with these puzzles the other day." You grins at him mischievously . Without any hesitation, he takes it & glomps it down. "thanks." He messes your hair. "not a problem, Seungie." He coughs. "Seungie." "I thought it sounded cute," you says, taking another bite at your bread. "well, are you doing that?" Hyunseung points at your book. "yeah," You clucks your tongue, "but I couldn't find a word in this one," "let me help." He scoots closer to you. "hmm. . .LOVE huh?"
After a few seconds, the two of you points at a word in the puzzle. "Love!" "found it!" You two beams. Quickly, you highlights it . You & Hyunseung lift your heads at the same time & meet eyes with each other. you could see his bright hazel brown eyes sparkle . He leans in a little, hesitating for a moment. You remains at your position, lips slightly apart. For a moment, you're mesmerized by him . He leans in closer, so close that you two are now sharing the same air. then, his lips met yours. you close your eyes & kisses him back .
A little surprised with your response, he smiles against the kiss & close his eyes as well. His fingers intertwine with yours, "ANDWAAAE!" The two of you breaks the kiss & find a few girls looking at you in disbelief, looking angry & are breathing heavily. "DON'T TOUCH MY BABY!" . A girl burst & starts for you at full speed. She grabs you by the collar & tosses you aside. "Don't you ever come near Hyunseung again!"
She turns around & sees the lunch boxes that she & the others made for him. "you didn't eat that?" She notices the bread in his hand. Seeing your bread in your hand, she assumes the one in Hyunseung's hand is yours too. She snatches it from Hyunseung & stomps on it . PANG! Hyunseung does something that the girls didn't expect. He slaps her hard on the cheeks. "you're stomping on my lunch." He says calmly .
He helps you up. "that was made by my girlfriend." he sounds angry but he's suppressing it. His teeth is clenched. "go," he orders. "but," "now." He looks fierce. shivering down to her spine, the girl & the others scramble away after grabbing their lunch boxes . Once they're out of sight, Hyunseung turns to face you. He brushes the dirt of your uniform & spins you around to see if there's any wound. "you could just ask me if i'm okay or not." You says, tilting your head a little in amusement while he still checks your condition.
"you would just say you're okay even if you're not." Hyunseung says, finally done with you. "i'm sorry," he apologizes. "naa, it's okay." He rakes his hair between his fingers. "still, i'm sorry you were treated that way." "don't worry bout it. It's normal." You smiles sweetly . He feels his heart racing, as if the horses galloping wildly in the meadow. his hand pulls yours & places it onto his chest. "feel that?" "I don't feel anything." You blinks, telling the truth. Hyunseung then, pulls you into an embrace, your ear to his chest. "hear that?"
You nods lightly as you blushes. It's loud & clear. His heart is beating fast. "all because of you." his face is as red as the tomato . "I've fallen for you for a long time, ya know." He confesses. "I mean, I've always watching you. Even though you didn't see me." "really?" "yeah. . . I thought it was just a crush but I guess not. I always see you & Hara walking home together & how you're concentrating," he says . "and, I always see you eating your lunch, usually chocolate bun here alone." He chuckles, pecking your nose playfully. "how so?"
You looks at your surrounding. "as far as I know, this place is hidden from the others." You look thoughtful. Hyunseung just smiles at you . "wait here," he runs off somewhere. 5 minutes of waiting, you hear him yells. "___!" you looks up & sees him waving from a window of a class . He cup his hands together to his mouth. "this is the perfect view of you." He yells, then he's pulled back abruptly. You blinks in confusion . Then, the mischievous Junhyung pokes his head out. "he beged me to change seats with him!" "shut up!" You hear Hyunseung's embarrassed voice .
Smiling to yourself, you picks up your WORDSEARCH book & to your surprise, you've found the word FATE within seconds. the smile grows wider . "Maybe, just maybe." You tell yourself, looking up to the window where Junhyung & the other friends are teasing the red faced Hyunseung . He looks at you & mouths, "I love you. Always have & always will." Me : *searching for a word in the puzzle.* AH! found it! *highlights F I N I S H* OuOv
